Nestled in the heart of Brighton in Queensland’s Moreton Bay region, the Brighton Hotel has been an integral part of the local community for many years.
Originally known as North Sandgate, the area was named after the famous English seaside town of Brighton.
The history of the Brighton Hotel dates back to 1866, when Captain William Townsend acquired the building, then located on Beaconsfield Terrace, and used it as his residence, with his name is now commemorated by Townsend Street.
The hotel changed hands in 1893 and was repurposed as an orphanage for a period of time before reopening as a hotel in 1912, continuing its role as a welcoming venue for locals and visitors ever since.
Over the years, the Brighton Hotel has evolved, and its latest transformation in May 2024 brought a stunning renovation.
The venue now boasts a beautiful new beer garden, spacious bistro, modern sports bar, and upgraded gaming room, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal, catch a game, or spend time with family and friends.
